Abigail Wignarajah has spent her life in love with the performing arts. As a child, she spent all her spare time devoted to dance, perfecting changing into a leotard, tights, and performance outfits in the back seat of a car as she travelled to countless dance practices and performances. In high school, she pivoted her interest to theatre, finding a love of acting and getting local and state recognition for her efforts.

College brought an interest in directing, sound design, and more, culminating in graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre along with countless local, regional, and national awards. Post college, she remained involved in the performing arts, directing and running a successful children’s theatre which got noticed by both local and national news sources throughout her leadership.

As the Executive Director of the WFBT, she hopes to continue the organization’s tradition of excellence and support and promote the talented team of dancers, teachers, choreographers, and Artistic Department as they strive for their goal of continuing to bring the beauty, joy, passion, and artistry of their craft to the community and beyond.
